Frequently asked questions

Are these zero-delay live exchange rates?

The public market feed is 15 minutes delayed, and the converter displays that delay and the observation timestamp. It checks for newer rates every five minutes while the tab is visible. If that feed is unavailable or does not cover a pair, daily reference rates are clearly labelled. It never presents daily data as a live market quote.

Why is my bank or transfer rate different?

These are indicative exchange rates for comparison. Banks, card networks, and transfer providers may quote different rates and add fees. Check the final amount with your provider before making a transaction.

Which currencies and country flags are included?

Choose from 50 commonly used currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, INR, JPY, CNY, AED, AUD, CAD, and SGD. Search by code, currency name, or country. Flags identify representative countries or regions; the euro uses the European Union flag.

Does swapping currencies change the amount?

Swap reverses the From and To currencies and keeps the entered amount. For example, 100 USD to INR becomes 100 INR to USD. The reciprocal unit rate is also shown below the result.

What happens when markets are closed or rates cannot be refreshed?

The converter shows the observation time and market status. During an outage it may use clearly labelled daily reference data, or keep the last received observation with a refresh warning. If no usable rate is available, it shows a dash instead of an invented conversion.

How are amounts rounded and shared?

Results use the destination currency’s standard number of decimal places: for example, two for USD, zero for JPY, and three for KWD. Calculations use the unrounded exchange rate. A copied link contains the amount and currencies; opening it fetches available rates rather than preserving an old quote.
